Terms & Conditions

We are not attorneys

Advisors EP LLC ("COMPANY") is not a law firm. Our employees and contractors are not licensed attorneys. We give no legal advice, create no legal documents, and do not act in the capacity of an attorney as part of any engagement.

Nothing on our website, in our platform, or in any communication from us is legal advice.

Who these terms cover

COMPANY — Advisors EP LLC FIRM — the financial advisor or advisory firm

PARTNER — the third-party estate planning platform that produces documents

CLIENT — the individual end user whose plan is prepared

How the service works

CLIENT's estate plan is produced by PARTNER, a third-party professional services provider and scrivener service. PARTNER is not CLIENT's attorney.

The plan is based on the information CLIENT provides. Its accuracy depends entirely on the accuracy of CLIENT's responses. CLIENT must disclose truthfully all facts relating to their estate, relationships, heirs, and finances for COMPANY or FIRM to perform the services.

CLIENT agrees to respond promptly to requests for relevant information or documentation.

Fees and compensation

COMPANY, FIRM, and CLIENT agree to a flat fee for a Will-Based or Trust-Based Estate Plan, and to the listed rates for additional services.

The billing method and amount must be agreed before COMPANY begins work. Additional work requested after pricing has been agreed may be subject to additional charges.

FIRM and CLIENT understand that a portion of the fee is paid by COMPANY to PARTNER for its services, and that COMPANY is also compensated for its own work.

Prices may change

Prices and services are subject to change. COMPANY reserves the right to change pricing or discontinue a service at any time, and will make reasonable efforts to notify FIRM and CLIENT.

Revisions after your plan is prepared

One round of revisions is included, and must be requested within 90 days of the initial documents being completed.

All revisions must be submitted together. Once COMPANY has submitted changes and PARTNER has made them, a fee of $200 applies to any further revisions.

Cancellation and refunds

COMPANY may withdraw from a service if FIRM or CLIENT does not pay fees when due, or does not respond to reasonable requests for information and documentation.

If FIRM or CLIENT fails to communicate, provide required information, or complete what is needed within a reasonable period, COMPANY and its affiliates may:

  • After 365 days, cease to provide services without refund; or

  • Continue at the previously agreed rate, with FIRM or CLIENT subject to additional fees.

FIRM or CLIENT may opt out of services at any time. A refund will be issued after deducting fees and expenses already incurred. Refunds will not exceed $1,500 per Trust-Based Estate Plan or $800 per Will-Based Estate Plan once services have begun.

Confidentiality

COMPANY provides confidential information only to employees and to third-party professional legal, financial, and technical advisors (and to COMPANY's corporate affiliates and their personnel) who:

  • need to know it in connection with the purpose; and

  • have agreed to protect it from unauthorized disclosure.

Each party agrees to use confidential information only for the purpose for which it was shared.

How we handle your personal information is described separately in our Privacy Policy.
