- Introduction -Trustees & Beneficiaries
Schedule an introduction for your Successor Trustee and Beneficiaries with AEP and your Advisor. Meeting a caring professional in advance ensures your loved ones already have a familiar, trusted guide when emotions run high — helping them feel supported, understood, and reassured. We review the basics of estate planning, NOT the specifics of your plan, unless you request for us to do so. We also provide an overview of their role and responsibilities, and how to contact us when the time comes.
- Basic Trust Administration
We provide essential trust administration services to help clients manage and organize trust structures efficiently. From obtaining EINs to coordinating trustee acceptances and splitting trusts, we handle key administrative steps with accuracy and care. Our Trust Administration Services Include- Obtaining Employer Identification Numbers (EINs) We secure separate EINs from the IRS for each trust to establish them as independent tax entities. This is essential for trust banking and tax reporting. Trust Splitting and Asset Allocation When required, we facilitate the legal division of a trust into multiple sub-trusts or separate trusts—often for tax planning, beneficiary distributions, or restructuring purposes. We ensure all documentation and asset transfers are handled in accordance with the trust's terms. Trustee Acceptance Coordination We prepare and manage trustee acceptance documents, ensuring that newly appointed trustees formally acknowledge and accept their roles and responsibilities.
